  •  About Sea Craft

SEACRAFT®! Just mention the name in the presence of veteran saltwater fishermen and the response is one of reverence, one of respect for a brand that has a special place in the history and evolution of the modern sport fishing boat. No other brand has done so much to change the tenets of hull design and few, if any, can lay claim to the level of seaworthiness that SEACRAFT pioneered. From the very beginning SEACRAFT has been an innovator that lived on the cutting-edge of engineering design excellence. It was manned by a group of boat builders led by the legendary Carl Moesly, whose vision created a hull so unique, so ahead of its time that even today, stacked up against all the rivals that have come since, it is considered to be the best midsize sea boat ever built! The secret behind the ride is the softer Variable Deadrise, Longitudinal Stepped V Hull and it remains a SEACRAFT exclusive, further refined in our current models, and built using modern construction materials and techniques! The limited-production SEACRAFT boats we build now are elegant in appearance with unmistakable classic lines that retain the very best features found in the original models still coveted by fishermen today. For example, the unitized grillage system we build into every model is no longer wood, but 100% composite and so is the transom. The function is the same, only stronger with even greater rigidity. These new materials add years to the lifespan of these great boats. We build them in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to quality standards beyond what could be achieved in years past and we take great pride in carrying on the legacy of excellence that has been associated with the brand for over three decades.
